MCO is a market leader in providing streamlined claims on Hull & Machinery policies. We assist the Assured and the Insurer to settle claims under their Marine Hull Policies. 

The primary 'end product' is an Average Adjustment providing an opinion on liability in accordance with the Policy conditions and quantifying that liability in monetary terms. 

Our services include varying contracts of marine policy, from ITC Hulls, American Clauses, Nordic Plan etc.

General Average

The law of General Average is a legal principle of maritime law according to which all parties in a common maritime adventure proportionally share any losses resulting from a voluntary sacrifice of part of the ship or cargo to save the whole in an emergency.

We specialise in identifying General Average situations as well as to provide guidance in the correct steps to take at the time of the casualty. We also attend to the collection of GA security and collecting contributions from cargo &/or other interests after issuing our adjustment. 
 

Loss of Hire

We have extensive experience dealing with Loss of Hire claims across all major forms of policies. 

Builders' Risks

We offer a wide range of services to both ship builders and their insurers with their insurance claims. Our London associate, Nigel Rogers, is a recognised leader in the field of BR claims.

 

Security Collections

We provide services to handle collection of General Average or LOF Salvage security for multi bill of lading casualties. We specialise in efficient and speedy collection of securities to ensure ship owners etc maintain their lien on the properties involved.

We handle the entire collection and provide required updates through online cargo e-books and regular updates.
